The role requires a PharmD or B.S. in Pharmacy, a current Texas pharmacist license, and would involve supervising technicians, maintaining records for controlled substances, and staying up to date with applicable laws. Evening/day shifts included.
A pharmacist is required to comply with state and federal laws regulated by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy, Drug Enforcement Agency, and Food and Drug Administration. In doing so, a pharmacist must maintain records for controlled substances, remove outdated or damaged drugs from inventory, supervise the work results of support personnel, maintain a current registration, and stay up to date with current standard practices and laws.
