PBS Animal Health is seeking a part-time Registered Pharmacist to oversee our Massillon mail order pharmacy. You will dispense medications, communicate with veterinarians, verify licenses, and ensure FDA and state compliance in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires availability Monday through Saturday and focuses on accuracy, safety, and collaboration with care teams. This position supports animal health needs with a strong emphasis on quality and service.

Qualifications

• Active Ohio Pharmacist license in good standing.
• Ability to obtain additional state licenses as needed.
• Maintain licensure with renewal fees and CEU credits (fees reimbursed).

Responsibilities

• Communicate with veterinarians by phone/fax to obtain/validate prescriptions.
• Verify veterinarian licenses with state authorities for validity.
• Sign off on prescriptions entered by pharmacy techs.
• Maintain FDA/compliance records per regs.
• Dispense medications per prescriptions with accuracy.
• Ensure 100% accuracy in prescription shipments.
• Delegate administrative tasks as needed and supervise.
• Enforce safety policies within the pharmacy.
• Maintain clean, organized pharmacy department.
• Collaborate with Customer Care & Warehouse teams.
• Prepare and submit monthly prescription sales statistics.
• Perform additional duties to support operations.

Are you ready for a change of pace? PBS Animal Health is seeking part-time RPH to oversee our operations at our mail order pharmacy in Massillon Ohio. As the Pharmacist on duty, you will be responsible for communicating with veterinarians, dispensing medications, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety in prescription fulfillment. This position requires availability from Monday through Saturday to support our commitment to animal care and customer service excellence. Our pharmacy operation is unique in that it sells packaged animal health products mainly for large animals and no compounding or repackaging is involved. As a mail order pharmacy there are limited client consultations. We dispense NO CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES . There are no transactions involving insurance. Our pharmacy is an extension of our fulfillment center and is currently licensed to ship into 18 states. Join us in making a difference in animal health!

Responsibilities

• Communicate with veterinarians via phone and fax to obtain and/or validate prescriptions for customers.
• Verify veterinarian licenses with the appropriate state licensing authority to ensure validity.
• Sign off on prescriptions entered into our computer system by our pharmacy techs.
• Maintain meticulous record-keeping to meet FDA requirements and adhere to Federal and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Dispense medications from our pharmacy department according to prescriptions issued by veterinarians, ensuring precise preparation and packaging.
• Guarantee 100% accuracy in prescription shipments to our customers, prioritizing safety and efficacy.
• Delegate administrative tasks as necessary, overseeing their completion with attention to detail.
• Enforce company policies and procedures, particularly focusing on safety regulations within the pharmacy environment.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy department to uphold our high standards.
• Collaborate closely with Customer Care and Warehouse Associates to ensure seamless operations, meeting company standards, shipping policies, and delivery commitments.
• Prepare and submit monthly statistics on prescription sales to track pharmacy performance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of our pharmacy.

Education/Training

• Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Ohio
• Obtain Non-Resident Pharmacist licenses in other states as they become necessary. (Currently 4 states).
• Must actively maintain licensure by fulfilling renewal fees and continuing education unit (CEU) credits. Fees will be re-imbursed.

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing as a pharmacist.
