Job summary

Current Ohio Pharmacist licensure is required; non-resident licenses may be needed in other states. The role emphasizes meticulous record-keeping and collaboration with care teams in a dynamic animal-health environment.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Pharmacist in Ohio.
• Obtain Non-Resident Pharmacist licenses in other states as needed (currently 4).
• Maintain licensure by renewal fees and continuing education credits (fees reimbursed).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience practicing as a pharmacist.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with veterinarians via phone/fax to obtain/validate prescriptions.
• Verify veterinarian licenses with state authority to ensure validity.
• Sign off on prescriptions entered into the system by pharmacy techs.
• Maintain FDA/compliance documentation and meet Board requirements.
• Dispense medications per prescriptions with accuracy and proper packaging.
• Ensure 100% accuracy in prescription shipments to customers.
• Collaborate with Customer Care and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations.
• Prepare monthly statistics on prescription sales.
