JobRx, Inc. is seeking a licensed pharmacist in Jackson, Mississippi. The role involves filling prescriptions, dispensing medications, and advising healthcare practitioners on medications. To fill prescriptions, dispense medicines, and provide information to patients and other health practitioners regarding the nature and use of medications. To advise physicians and other health practitioners on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications.
Possession of a controlled substance license or eligible for licensure. Must be licensed prior to hire date.
Knowledge of drugs and their indications, contraindications, dosing, side effects, and proper administration. Knowledge of policies and procedures pertaining to the disbursement of pharmaceutical drugs. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of constituencies.
Requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environment such as high noise level and exposure to heat and cold, occasional exposure to biohazardous conditions such as risk of radiation exposure, blood borne pathogens, fumes or airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals which mandate attention to safety considerations, occasional travelling to offsite locations, occasional activities subject to significant volume changes of a seasonal/clinical nature, constant work produced subject to precise measures of quantity and quality, occasional bending, occasional lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds, occasional crouching/stooping, occasional kneeling, occasional pushing/pulling, occasional reaching, frequent sitting, frequent standing, occasional twisting, and frequent walking.
