Job summary

SpecialtyRx, Inc. is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join our Long-Term Care pharmacy team.

The role focuses on evaluating medication orders, ensuring accurate dispensing and labeling, and collaborating with nursing staff and physicians to resolve medication-related issues. The ideal candidate holds PA Board of Pharmacy licensure (Maryland license a plus), has strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with PA Board of Pharmacy is a must.
• Maryland Board of Pharmacy license a plus.
• Long Term Care experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and detail-oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure that dispensed medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members regarding medication-related queries.
• Supervise the preparation of medicines.
• Must be multitask, reliable and able to work independently.

License Pharmacist Responsibilities:

• Evaluate medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and proper administration.
• Ensure that dispense medicines are correctly supplied and labeled.
• Communicate with facilities’ nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members in regard to medication-related query.
• Supervise the preparation of any medicines.
• Active Pharmacist with PA Board of Pharmacy a must.
• Active Pharmacist with Maryland Board of Pharmacy, a plus.
• Previous experience in Long Term Care preferred.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, accurately, and efficiently.
• Must be multi-tasking and reliable.
• Computer literate, knowledge of Frameworks LTC system, PLUS.
