Responsibilities

• Accept and dispense prescription medications

• Ensure that the medicines prescribed to patients are suitable
• Accurately maintain confidential records of all patients
• Advise patients about medicines, including usage, reactions, and answer questions
• Provide consultation on medications for storage, dosage, side effects, and interactions
• Provide patient services such as smoking cessation and cholesterol management
• Educate patients on medical device handling
• Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions
• Supervise pharmacy staff members
• Maintain pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory
• Identify and communicate patient drug-related problems
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other pharmacists
