Responsibilities

Accept and dispense prescription medications
Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
Ensure that the supply of medicines is within the law
Ensure that the medicines prescribed to patients are suitable
Accurately maintain confidential records of all patients
Advise patients about medicines, including usage, reactions, and answer questions
Provide consultation on medications for storage, dosage, side effects, and interactions
Provide patient services such as smoking cessation and cholesterol management
Educate patients on medical device handling
Compound medications and prepare sterile solutions
Supervise pharmacy staff members
Maintain pharmaceutical and medical supply inventory
Identify and communicate patient drug-related problems
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other pharmacists
