Mixlab is a veterinary compounding pharmacy hiring a part-time Pharmacist in Wisconsin. You will compound, fill, label, counsel clients, and supervise pharmacy technicians to ensure accurate dispensing and compliant workflows.

The role is 28 hours per week in a fast-paced startup environment. We value detail-oriented professionals who can collaborate with care pharmacists to support veterinarians and pet owners with high-quality medications.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist in Wisconsin in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume setting.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Compound, fill and label prescriptions, and package medications.
• Oversee activities of pharmacy technicians per Wisconsin Board of Pharmacy rules.
• Maintain workflow and ensure timely order processing from entry to final verification.
• Oversee product flow from compounding to release.
• Keep accurate records and monitor inventory per regulations and policies.
• Ensure compliance with USP <795>, <797>, and <800> guidelines.
• Verify prescriptions are accurately dispensed.
• Counsel clients on medications, needs, usages, and instructions with Care pharmacists.
• Handle processing and customer care tasks as needed.

Job description

Mixlab, the fast-growing veterinary compounding pharmacy, is hiring a Pharmacist in our Wisconson pharmacy. We are looking for individuals who are obsessed with details and are driven by an ability to #makeithappen for our customers and large animal (horses, exotics) owners no matter what. You will be an integral part in helping us to ensure our pharmacy operations run smoothly, and to make Mixlab a 100% dependable resource for our customers and veterinarians alike.

*** This is a PART TIME role offering 28 hours weekly ***

What you'll do

• Compound, fill and label prescriptions, and package medications
• Oversee activities of pharmacy technicians in accordance with Wisconsin State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations
• Ensure proper workflow is maintained and that orders are shipped in a timely manner from entry through processing to final verification
• Oversee the flow of products from compounding, packaging, visual inspection through release
• Keep accurate records and monitor inventory levels in accordance with State Board of Pharmacy & DEA regulations and company policies and procedures
• Ensure operational compliance with USP chapters <795>, <797>, and <800>
• Verify and ensure prescriptions are accurately prescribed and dispensed
• Collaborate with Care pharmacists to counsel clients on different medications, needs, usages, and instructions.
• Perform additional functions including processing and customer care, on an as needed basis

About you

• You are a licensed certified pharmacist in Wisconsin, in good standing with all State Boards of Pharmacy
• You have 2+ years of experience in a high volume setting
• Your attention to detail is impeccable, and you have incredibly high standards for accuracy and quality
• You are collaborative and have a desire to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, startup environment
