Role Description

The Pharmacist is responsible for dispensing medications accurately, verifying prescriptions, and providing clear counseling to patients on proper use, potential side effects, and drug interactions. This full-time, on-site role in the Greater Fayetteville, AR Area includes collaborating with prescribers and other healthcare professionals, managing inventory, and ensuring compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations. Day-to-day tasks involve overseeing medication compounding when needed, administering vaccinations, and supporting point of care testing while maintaining detailed and accurate records. The Pharmacist will also participate in medication synchronization programs, coordinate free delivery services, supervise pharmacy support staff, and contribute to a positive, customer-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to accurately dispense medications, verify prescriptions, and perform medication therapy management.
• Skills in patient counseling, customer service, and clear communication with diverse populations.
• Experience with immunization administration, point of care testing, and basic clinical assessments.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws, insurance processes, documentation standards, and regulatory compliance.
• Competence in inventory management, ordering, and handling controlled substances responsibly.
• Proficiency with pharmacy management systems, e-prescribing tools, and basic computer applications.
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent degree from an accredited institution.
• Active pharmacist license in the state of Arkansas, or eligibility to obtain licensure before start date.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform essential on-site pharmacy tasks.
• Prior community or retail pharmacy experience is preferred; experience with compounding and durable medical equipment is a plus.
