Job summary

Saint Joseph Hospital - Elgin is seeking a Pharmacist for evening shifts to coordinate the pharmacy department and ensure high-quality pharmaceutical care while maintaining patient safety. This role covers a broad scope of patient care across General Medicine, ICU, Obstetrics, Pediatrics, Emergency, Oncology, and more.

Applicants should hold a current state Pharmacist license, with hospital pharmacy experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current state Registered Pharmacist License.
• Experience in hospital pharmacy operations preferred.
• B.S. degree in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy degree preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the activities of the pharmacy department to provide high quality pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital.

Under the supervision of the Director of Pharmacy, coordinates the activities of the pharmacy department to provide the highest quality of pharmaceutical care to all patients served by the hospital, while ensuring patient safety. The scope of patient care provided may include: General Medicine/Surgical, Intensive Care Services, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Pediatrics, Emergency Care, Oncology, Peri-operative, Geriatrics and Outpatient Services.
