IHA in Iowa seeks a licensed pharmacist to provide comprehensive pharmaceutical services in a hospital setting. The role includes clinical oversight, informational guidance on medication use, and leadership of technical staff to ensure safe and effective patient care.
The successful candidate will review prescriptions for accuracy, assess medication identity and purity, and maintain essential pharmacy records. A Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy and Iowa licensure are required.
Provides pharmaceutical services, both distributive and clinical, to patients, nursing staff and other clinical services staff of the Medical Center including information on the safe and effective use of medications. Able to act in and oversee all functional areas of the department. Provides direction to technical staff.
