Job summary

Trinity Health in Davenport, IA is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to provide distributive and clinical pharmacy services to patients, nursing staff, and other clinical teams within the Medical Center.

You will review prescriptions, ensure accuracy, assess drug identity and interactions, counsel on dosage and storage, and help monitor prescribing trends while maintaining comprehensive patient records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in Iowa.

Description:

Provides pharmaceutical services, both distributive and clinical, to patients, nursing staff and other clinical services staff of the Medical Center including information on the safe and effective use of medications. Able to act in and oversee all functional areas of the department. Provides direction to technical staff.

• Review prescriptions to assure accuracy, to ascertain the needed ingredients, and to evaluate their suitability.
• Assess the identity, strength, or purity of medications.
• Provide information and advice regarding drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and proper medication storage.
• Analyze prescribing trends to monitor patient compliance and to prevent excessive usage or harmful interactions.
• Maintain records, such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, inventories, control records for radioactive nuclei, or registries of poisons, narcotics, or controlled drugs.

General Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Iowa
