Olean General Hospital is seeking a Pharmacist to join the OGH Pharmacy team in Olean, NY. Under supervision, you will review physician orders, prepare and dispense medications, and participate in patient medication monitoring activities.

The role includes supervising pharmacy technicians and ensuring adherence to procedures. Eligible Pennsylvania licensure or active licensure, plus eligibility for New York licensure within 90 days, is required. A valid driver's license is also needed.

Formación

• Pharm.D or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania as a pharmacist.
• Eligible for licensure in New York; NY license within 90 days if not current.

Job Description

Under the general supervision of the Director of Pharmacy and according to standard procedure, prepares and dispenses medications after review of a physician’s order. Participates in designated patient medication monitoring activities as defined by department procedure. The Pharmacist will provide supervision of Pharmacy technicians and their roles and responsibilities.

Education And Credentials

Pharm.D or Bachelor of Science degree in Pharmacy. Licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Pennsylvania as a pharmacist. Must be eligible for licensure in the state of New York. Pharmacist not licensed in the state of New York will be allowed ninety (90) days to obtain a New York State license from start date. Valid driver's license.

Experience

Prior hospital experience preferred. The ability to work independently; the ability to learn new routines; the ability to supervise technicians as necessary; good verbal communication. Able to perform the duties and responsibilities of a pharmacist at any facility over which the SDOP has purview.
