Job summary

Onco360 Pharmacy in Buffalo, NY, is seeking a full-time pharmacist to join our closed-door specialty pharmacy. The role supports cancer care through medication management, collaboration with the healthcare team, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Salary starts at $135,000 annually, with a $5,000 sign-on bonus for those starting before August 31, 2026, plus quarterly incentives. Onsite schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Friday; alternating weekends, 9:00am–5:30pm EST.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required.
• One year retail pharmacy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administration. Recommends therapy changes to physician/staff as needed.
• Maintains patient database with current and past medical history and concurrent medications.
• Ensures appropriate lab tests for monitoring high-risk conditions are ordered and discussed with the healthcare team.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support.
• Documents all communication with physicians, nurses, and patients.
• Implements policies for safe procurement, storage, distribution, and disposal of drugs.

Salary starting at $135,000 annually and up, depending on experience.

Sign-On Bonus: $5,000 for employees starting before August 31, 2026.

• Maintains patient database to include appropriate current and past medical history, appropriate clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medication (including over-the-counter and home remedies).
• Ensures that appropriate laboratory tests for monitoring certain high risk conditions are ordered, evaluated and discussed with appropriate members of the healthcare team.
• Collaborates with the healthcare team to provide clinical and technical support as needed.
• Documents all communication with physicians, nurses, other members of the healthcare team and patients.
• Implements policies and procedures for the safe procurement, storage, distribution and use of drugs and biologicals, as well as disposal of drugs.
• Obtains, as necessary, and maintains all required documentation in accordance with federal and state regulatory agencies.
• Informs the Pharmacy Manager of medication related errors.
• Assists facility/agency staff personnel with procedures relating to safe and effective methods of procuring, maintaining, administering and disposing of drugs.

Education/Learning Experience

• Required: Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy

Work Experience

• Desired: One year experience in retail pharmacy

Skills/Knowledge

• Required: Knowledge of pharmacy laws and federal and state regulations. Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.

Licenses/Certifications

• Required: Current license in the state of practice
• Desired: Ideal candidates will have multi-state licenses
