Job summary

CoxHealth is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for the Inpatient Pharmacy at Cox Medical Center Branson, MO. You will process and verify medication orders, monitor patient therapies, and provide drug information while supervising support staff in a busy hospital setting.

Required: Bachelor’s in Pharmacy from ACPE-accredited school; Missouri pharmacist licensure or eligibility. Doctor of Pharmacy degree is preferred; residency is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in pharmacy from ACPE-accredited school.
• Doctor of Pharmacy preferred; ASHP-accredited residency desirable.
• Missouri Board of Pharmacy eligibility and licensure required at hire.

Job Description

Staff pharmacists process/verify orders for medications, monitor patient medication therapies and provide drug information. Staff pharmacists supervise and direct support personnel. In the absence of the pharmacy manager, a staff pharmacist may be required to assume the essential responsibilities and perform the duties of the pharmacy manager.

Education

• Required: Bachelor's in pharmacy - Graduate of an ACPE accredited school of Pharmacy
• Preferred: Doctor of Pharmacy - Completion of ASHP accredited PGY1 residency

Experience

• Required: No Prior Experience Required
• Preferred: 2 years healthcare setting or equivalent residency training

• Registered with Missouri Board of Pharmacy as Pharmacist
• Eligibility for licensure requires submission of application for Pharmacy License at time of hire
