Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (PSR)

Join Syneos Health as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative (PSR) and become part of a fast-paced, challenging environment where our compassion and dedication help us meet the unique needs of our customers. The PSR role involves building relationships with recognized experts, healthcare providers (HCPs), and prioritized stakeholders. This position will be integrated with a large biopharmaceutical company, working alongside company team members. Daily coaching and guidance will be provided by client managers in partnership with the Syneos FTM.

Responsibilities include:

  • Achieving and exceeding sales targets within an assigned territory by developing and executing an effective business plan focusing on key accounts to maximize sales.
  • Identifying key influencers and engaging with top target customers to meet interaction expectations.
  • Planning and organizing activities to ensure consistent coverage of the territory as per the plan of action.
  • Delivering clinical, brand-specific presentations to physicians and healthcare professionals.
  • Developing a thorough understanding of the healthcare delivery system within each customer’s environment, including physician hierarchy, pharmacy staff, and clinical nursing personnel.
  • Gaining deep knowledge of products, competitors, and local market trends.
  • Analyzing market data to set and achieve short- and long-term goals through a strategic business plan.
  • Collaborating with peers, brand teams, and support partners to provide an exceptional customer experience.
  • Managing territory budgets to support sales and marketing efforts.
  • Completing administrative tasks promptly and accurately.
  • Executing company brand strategies within the assigned geographic area.
  • Participating in training and development programs.
  • Adhering to all corporate and industry policies and procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • BA/BS degree required; Life Sciences preferred.
  • Sales experience (internship, B2B, or pharma).
  • Ability to identify key decision makers, build relationships, and demonstrate strong customer dedication.
  • Ability to learn and communicate product and disease information effectively.
  • Proven success in exceeding sales results.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, motivated to succeed.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and account management skills.
  • Residency within the territory or within its boundaries.

Preferred Experience:

  • 2+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience.
  • Experience selling SGLT2 or GLP1 therapies for diabetes.
  • Sales or internship experience in B2B settings or a sales degree.
