Role Overview

The Territory Manager will be responsible for account-based selling to healthcare providers (HCPs) involved in prescribing and influencing treatment decisions within the Lilly portfolio. This includes engagement with multiple HCP specialties and hospital accounts. The role requires establishing credibility as a resource and supporting all relevant medicines and patients. The manager will drive results by utilizing Lilly’s sales, competency, and account management models to meet customer needs through effective execution and relationship building.

Responsibilities
Business Ownership
  • Promote the full portfolio of priority products across multiple HCP specialties.
  • Understand the local marketplace; tailor strategies to grow business outcomes.
  • Navigate healthcare and payer landscapes to influence key stakeholders and build trusted partnerships.
  • Leverage data, insights, and analytics to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Implement new technologies, including AI tools, to enhance customer interactions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer experience and model a growth mindset.
Selling Skills / Customer Experience
  • Utilize Lilly’s selling and account management models to improve performance.
  • Demonstrate agility in understanding disease states, market dynamics, and product labels.
  • Engage in patient-centered dialogues to promote the portfolio effectively.
Execution / Results
  • Promote products across the portfolio and HCP specialties, utilizing virtual platforms as appropriate.
  • Achieve sales targets and adhere to policies.
  • Manage customer relationships, including medical questions and market access.
  • Build trust with internal and external partners to foster collaboration.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • State-specific professional certification or license if applicable.
  • Valid US driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US; sponsorship is not expected.
Preferred Skills
  • Business ownership, selling, and execution skills.
  • Account-based selling experience.
  • Strong learning agility, motivation, team orientation, and emotional intelligence.
  • Bilingual abilities aligned with territory needs.
  • Residence within 30 miles of the territory boundary.
