Territory Position - Washington DC CMH2 170959

The Territory Manager will be responsible for account-based selling to healthcare providers (HCPs) who prescribe and influence treatment for diseases represented in the Lilly portfolio. This includes multiple HCP specialties and key hospital account representatives. They will serve as a credible expert and resource supporting all medicines and appropriate brand patients. The role involves driving results by leveraging Lilly’s models: Selling, Competency, and Account Management, to meet customer needs through strong execution. Territory Managers will foster consistent practices within the Regional Healthcare Market and build relationships to promote utilization and adoption of our medicines for suitable patients.

Responsibilities
Business Ownership
  • Promote the full portfolio of priority products across multiple HCP specialties.
  • Understand the territory marketplace; develop and tailor strategies to grow business outcomes.
  • Navigate the healthcare and payer landscapes to impact key stakeholders and build trusted partnerships.
  • Use business insight tools, data, and analytics to identify trends, priorities, opportunities, and obstacles.
  • Implement and adopt new technologies, including AI tools, to streamline customer interactions.
  • Identify and advocate for opportunities to enhance customer experience.
  • Model a growth mindset to foster positive experiences.
Selling Skills / Customer Experience
  • Utilize Lilly’s selling, competency, and account management models to improve performance and results.
  • Demonstrate agility in understanding disease states, markets, clinical trials, and product labels.
  • Engage in patient-centered dialogues to promote the portfolio.
Execution / Results
  • Promote across the portfolio and HCP specialties, ensuring consistent practices within the Regional Healthcare Market, including the Virtual Medical Hub.
  • Achieve sales and execution metrics while following company policies.
  • Manage customer relationships for product promotion, medical questions, and market access.
  • Hold self-accountable for results across all accounts, from individual HCPs to large health systems.
  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with internal and external partners.
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Professional certification or license as required by state.
  • Valid US driver’s license with acceptable record.
  • Legal authorization to work in the US; sponsorship not anticipated.
Additional Skills / Preferences
  • Business ownership, selling/customer experience, and execution skills.
  • Account-based selling experience.
  • Strong learning agility, self-motivation, teamwork, and emotional intelligence.
  • Bilingual abilities aligned with territory needs.
  • Residence within 30 miles of the territory boundary.

Compensation depends on education, experience, skills, and location, with an anticipated range of $63,000 - $138,600. Full-time employees are eligible for bonuses and comprehensive benefits, including 401(k), pension, health insurance, flexible spending, life insurance, paid time off, and well-being programs. Lilly reserves the right to modify these programs as needed.
