Job Title: Packaging Operator II – DPI

Location: Hauppauge, NY

Job Type: Full Time

Overview

A leading pharmaceutical manufacturer is seeking a Packaging Operator II – DPI with experience in automated packaging environments. This role supports the packaging of dry powder inhaler products and requires strict adherence to cGMP standards, safety protocols, and quality documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor automatic packaging equipment
  • Document activities accurately and legibly in SOPs, logbooks, and system records
  • Perform line setup, cleaning, and material handling tasks
  • Reconcile and verify bulk product and packaging materials
  • Identify and report safety or quality issues; stop line when necessary
  • Feed materials to filling equipment and palletize finished goods
  • Segregate waste materials and return unused items as per protocols
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Comply with all regulatory and safety standards
  • Support team-based safety and process improvement initiatives
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months of experience as a Packaging Operator in an automated setting
  • Background in chemistry or pharmaceutical manufacturing (mandatory)
  • Strong communication skills in English (both verbal and written)
  • Solid understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), FDA regulations, and SOPs
