Job summary

Pace Life Sciences is seeking a Project Manager II in Morrisville, NC to lead large, cross-functional analytical testing projects, coordinating lab teams, QA, and sales. You will manage plans, budgets, and client communications to ensure on-time, in-scope delivery and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee multiple sites and support continuous improvement while maintaining strong client relationships and data integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of PM or technical operations experience in analytical testing or a laboratory.
• PMP certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage project plans, timelines, and budgets for analytical testing projects.
• Serve as the primary client contact for project updates, deliverables, issues, and scope changes.
• Support sample management for large or complex projects, ensuring regulatory requirements are met.
• Update and maintain project status, cost details, and client information in LIMS.
• Approve testing to initiate laboratory work when required.
• Lead client meetings, prepare agendas and distribute minutes.
• Liaise with quoting and sales to initiate new quotes for scope changes or additional work.
• Provide specialized analysis and interpretation of data to clients.
• Communicate project risks, issues, and progress to stakeholders with clear recommendations.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and internal quality protocols.
