Job summary

Placements24 seeks a meticulous Quality Control Inspector for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturer in Queenstown, Eastern Cape. You will inspect raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure they meet GMP standards and SAHPRA regulations.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree or national diploma in pharmacy, chemistry, or biotechnology and at least three years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or National Diploma in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quality Control Inspector in the pharmaceutical or related regulated industry.
• Solid understanding of GMP, GLP, and relevant pharmaceutical quality standards.
• Proficiency in performing various analytical tests and using laboratory equipment.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements in South Africa (SAHPRA).
• Must be resident in or able to relocate to Queenstown , Eastern Cape.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed inspections of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished pharmaceutical products.
• Conduct various quality control tests using specialized equipment and adhering to established protocols.
• Document all inspection and testing results accurately in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
• Identify and report any deviations from quality standards or specifications.
• Assist in the investigation of quality complaints and non-conformances.
• Ensure all QC activities are performed in compliance with regulatory guidelines (e.g., SAHPRA).
• Calibrate and maintain quality control equipment.
• Collaborate with production and QA teams to address quality issues promptly.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the QC department.
• Maintain accurate records of samples, test results, and retain samples.
