Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Quality Assurance Manager for a Queenstown, Eastern Cape FMCG facility. You will lead QA initiatives, maintain QMS, ensure GMP compliance, and drive CAPA across the organization.

You will oversee QA staff, coordinate audits, manage quality testing and supplier quality, and collaborate with production, R&D, and procurement to sustain product integrity and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level scientific degree is required.
• Minimum 5–7 years in QA/QC with at least 3 in a management role within FMCG.
• Strong knowledge of QMS, HACCP, ISO standards and GMP principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain QA protocols and QMS in accordance with standards.
• Oversee QA activities including raw material inspection, in-process checks, and finished product testing.
• Lead QA team; provide training and performance management.
• Conduct internal audits and coordinate external audits by regulatory bodies and customers.
• Investigate quality issues, implement CAPA, and monitor KPIs.
