Job summary

Perrigo is seeking a Process Engineer to provide technical and scientific support for Rx, OTC, and cosmetic topical products. You will collaborate with Regulatory, Quality, R&D, Operations, and Legal to develop, transfer, and validate manufacturing processes for scale-up and continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes CAPAs, process validation, and ensuring product quality and compliance with cGMP and FDA requirements while managing multiple projects to meet timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Chemistry, or related scientific discipline.
• 2–5 years of pharmaceutical manufacturing, process engineering, technical services, or process support experience in a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes and process engineering principles.
• Knowledge of cGMP requirements, FDA regulations, and pharmaceutical quality systems.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills; ability to collaborate across levels.
• Strong technical writing, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting timelines.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory-scale manufacturing equipment; understanding of commercial-scale pharmaceutical processing equipment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; SAP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical assessments and provide ongoing process support for Rx, OTC, and cosmetic topical products.
• Lead technology transfer for new products and scaling from R&D or external sites into commercial operations.
• Develop, optimize, and implement manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
• Investigate manufacturing issues; perform root cause analyses and implement CAPAs.
• Review and maintain manufacturing orders, ingredient disclosures, cleaning procedures, and related docs for regulatory compliance.
• Perform laboratory-scale formulation and process development studies for optimization and scale-up.
• Evaluate process performance data for improvements, cost reduction, and efficiency.
• Support MRB activities and manage nonconforming materials.
