Job summary

Horizon Pharmaceutical seeks a Patient Access Manager to lead patient access initiatives within a collaborative, cross-functional team. This role focuses on educating patients, navigating pre-authorization steps, and supporting ongoing therapy access.

You will liaise with Patient Services, Case Managers, and external partners, manage travel requirements, and ensure compliant, patient-centered service delivery across channels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is a must.
• Minimum 5 years pharma/account management experience.
• Experience interacting with patients and providing support is preferred.
• Biologic/biotech buy and bill experience in a reimbursement role is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and develop an education action plan considering family and healthcare team.
• Collaborate with Horizon’s Patient Services team, Case Managers, Regional Access Solutions, and external vendors.
• Help patients secure records needed prior to treatment and resolve issues without pre-authorizations when needed.
• Guide patients through appeals and coordinate documentation for each appeal to maintain coverage.
• Provide information on accessible co-pay assistance programs, foundations, and free drug programs.
• Build a cohesive relationship with patients and families as they navigate the healthcare system.
• Empower patients to advocate for themselves.
