Qualified candidates have a High School Diploma or Technical Certification and 5+ years of GMP Packaging experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Technical School Certificate plus 5+ years' GMP Packaging Mechanic experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and other communication. Write reports, memos and correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic math and unit conversions as required.

Responsibilities

• Works in a team environment with management to ensure departmental goals are prioritized and met.
• Gives direction and support to the other mechanics when needed.
• Ensures that machines are properly maintained and PMs are performed and documented monthly.
• Serves as primary troubleshooter for all equipment in the department and contacts equipment vendors as needed.
• Analyzes electrical, electronic and mechanical components in case of equipment failure.
• Establishes and performs preventive maintenance on all equipment to minimize downtime.
• Performs set-ups and changeovers of machines per schedule demands.
• Advises packaging management on equipment performance, problems and status.
• Participates in installation and debugging of new or modified equipment.
• Follows SOPs, cGMP and safety practices and maintains proper documentation.
