Job summary

Piramal Pharma Solutions’ Formulation and Manufacturing facility in Lexington KY is seeking an Operational Excellence Engineer to join the Regional OE team. Lead Lean Six Sigma initiatives, drive DMS deployment, and enable cross-functional optimization to achieve Zero Defects, Zero Harm, and cost savings.

The role requires a strong background in chemistry/engineering, 3–5 years in pharma, and proven ability to coach belts and manage complex projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or engineering or similar pharmaceutical discipline is required.
• Master’s Degree or PhD preferred, in lieu of work experience.
• At least 3-5 years of relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to build a strong working relationship with all stakeholders.
• Demonstrate high levels of Ownership & Accountability.
• Ability to organize the work, plan well and prioritize based on impact.
• Action-oriented and results-driven.
• Analytical with strong command over MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, Data Analytics and Minitab.
• Exposure to Industry 4.0 concepts.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to regulatory requirements (FDA, EPA, OSHA) and safety procedures.
• Support Piramal Pharma Solutions mission, vision, and values.
• Deploy OE practices across site/functions per corporate plan.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives using analytics and change management.
• Drive Lean Six Sigma and DMS deployment to improve productivity and quality.
• Coach and certify White/Yellow/Green Belts and develop OE capabilities.
• Prepare reports and dashboards for monthly OE governance and KPI reviews.
• Assist digitalization journey and site leadership communications.
• Perform other duties aligned with role.
