Job summary

SHL Medical in Deerfield Beach, FL is seeking a Materials Handler responsible for moving materials and operating movement equipment while adhering to safety and GDP/ GMP procedures. You will unload deliveries, inspect goods, and coordinate with Receiving and Production to keep materials flowing efficiently.

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, forklift driving experience, SAP or comparable ERP familiarity, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long shifts in a 24/7

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; college degree preferred.
• Forklift Driving Experience
• Material Movement equipment experience
• Experience with wrapping equipment or other packaging machines and/or processes.
• Knowledge of warehouse and inventory concepts in a distribution environment preferred.
• Experience in highly regulated industries such as Medical Devices, pharmaceuticals, Aerospace, etc.
• Computer literate – SAP, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and ERP systems.
• Experience with temperature-controlled products is highly preferred.
• Ability to move equipment and/or supplies weighing up to 50 pounds and work up to 12 hours on feet.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining process-driven movement with strict adherence to safety and procedures.
• Store materials as designated by Warehouse, Quality, and Operations.
• Unload deliveries at Shipping & Receiving areas and perform gross visual inspection and documentation.
• Prepare materials for inbound and outbound transfers between site, external warehouses, or partners.
• Perform system transactions via handheld scanning and the ERP system.
• Label, package, identify, and count received items.
• Ensure warehouse and refrigerators are neat, clean, and organized.
• Picking & staging; loading & unloading racks & trucks.
• Put-aways / inventory control; cycle counts.
• Complete and file GDP documentation; track time out of refrigeration.
