Job summary

SHL Medical is seeking a Materials Handler in Deerfield Beach, FL to manage material movements and operate movement equipment in a highly regulated environment. You will unload, inspect, label, and stage materials, perform ERP transactions, and ensure documentation compliance.

Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with flexible overtime as needed to support a 24/7 manufacturing operation.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or Equivalent; college degree preferred.
Forklift Driving Experience.
Material Movement equipment experience.
Experience with wrapping equipment or other packaging machines and/or processes.
Knowledge of warehouse and inventory concepts in a distribution environment preferred.
Experience in regulated industries (Medical Devices, pharmaceuticals) is a plus.
Computer literate – MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, SAP or equivalent WMS.
Experience with temperature-controlled products is highly preferred.
Ability to move items up to 50 pounds within the facility.
Ability to stand for up to a 12-hour shift.
Vision 20/30 corrected.
Able to work atop elevated positions.
Occasionally works around hazardous materials; may wear latex gloves.
Work in loud environments with hearing protection.
Gowning certification and handling hazardous materials may be required.
Frequent bending, stooping, and overhead work.
Hours support 24/7 manufacturing; Monday-Friday 7:00AM–3:30PM with flex OT.

Responsibilities

Maintain process-driven material movement with safety and procedures.
Store materials as designated by Warehouse, Quality, and Operations.
Unload deliveries; inspect material, document properly, and coordinate delivery.
Prepare materials for inbound and outbound transfers between site and external warehouses/partners.
Perform ERP system transactions via handheld scanning (EWM).
Label, package, identify, and count received items.
Keep Warehouse and Refrigerators neat, clean, and organized.
Picking & staging; Loading & unloading racks & trucks.
Put-aways / Inventory Control; Cycle counts.
Ensure daily maintenance checks are completed; complete GDP documentation.
