Job summary

Viatris is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to monitor production lines, set up equipment, prepare work areas, and ensure proper labeling and storage of products. The role includes documenting runs and assisting in training new personnel under supervision.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma and at least two years of industry experience, with strong mechanical and communication skills and basic computer literacy. The position entails lifting up to 50 pounds and wearing a respirator as required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of experience in manufacturing or related field.
• Good mechanical skills and ability to read and interpret instructions.
• Strong written and verbal communication, time management and organizational abilities.
• Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, and Lotus Notes.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect the product during operation and observe equipment for proper operation.
• Assist with the setup and running of Production equipment.
• Prepare and clean manufacturing rooms and equipment for inspection and keep work area in a clean and orderly condition.
• Ensure all products are properly labeled and stored.
• Document material runs via Batch Production Records, In-Process Sheets, Log Books, and Time Sheets.
• Assist in training new personnel in the manufacturing operation as directed by the supervisor or manager.
• Perform calibration on scales, line meters, coating ovens, micrometers, etc as instructed.
• Coordinate the work of other Operators and act as a back up to Senior Operator as directed by the supervisor or manager.
