Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support a major pharmaceutical manufacturing project in Holly Springs, NC. This onsite role focuses on energizing Direct Impact Systems for commissioning and qualification with engineers and project teams.

Ideal candidates have mechanical aptitude, hands-on experience with tools, and the ability to read P&IDs while upholding strict GMP and safety standards. Training is provided for site-specific equipment and procedures.

Qualifications

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform hands-on technical work.
• Experience using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs.
• Understanding of industrial piping systems and mechanical equipment.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, including climbing ladders, using lifts, and working around industrial equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Support Set-to-Work (STW) activities to energize Direct Impact Systems for the first time.
• Execute STW protocols alongside engineering and project teams.
• Prepare tools, equipment, and resources required to meet project schedules.
• Perform system walkdowns using P&IDs to verify equipment and system readiness.
• Assist with startup activities for bioreactors, water systems, preparation tanks, and other process equipment.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform corrective work as needed.
• Repair leaks, secure valves, and address system deficiencies before commissioning.
• Support calibration and field activities required for system functionality.
• Work closely with engineers, technicians, and commissioning teams to ensure systems are ready for qualification.
• Follow all site safety procedures and GMP requirements.
• Operate lifts and other equipment safely (training provided)
