Job summary

FITS, LLC is seeking a qualified engineering professional for Manufacturing & Maintenance services in the Puerto Rico area. The role focuses on supporting pharmaceutical/biotech production through cGMP practices and system ownership, with emphasis on troubleshooting and process improvement.

The candidate will collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance and QA teams to ensure smooth operations, data-driven decisions and adherence to quality standards. Bilingual Spanish/English required.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience in Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical industry.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English.
• Experience with cGMP procedures and engineering practices in pharma/biotech environments.
• Familiarity with system ownership, MMP, and purchasing processes such as PO submission.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Under supervision, evaluate and apply standard engineering techniques and basic principles.
• Act as a technical expert to process, equipment and systems during troubleshooting and cross-functional discussions.
• Supervise manufacturing processes for performance indicators and coach others in problem-solving.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, QA, validation and facilities to support process modifications.
• Support deviations, equipment qualification, process validation, training and new product introductions.
