Job summary

Alcami is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to develop, optimize, and support packaging production processes in a regulated GMP environment. The role collaborates with Operations, Technical Services, Quality Assurance, suppliers, and customers to drive improvements and enable new product introductions.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, hands-on experience with automated packaging/assembly equipment, and a track record in Lean initiatives and root-cause problem

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline required.
• Experience with automated assembly, packaging, or forming equipment is required.
• Experience implementing continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
• Strong troubleshooting skills with root cause investigations and corrective actions.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment with cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience managing engineering projects, equipment implementations, or change initiatives.
• Pharmaceutical packaging experience or experience in a highly regulated industry is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, develop, and implement manufacturing process improvements to enhance quality, efficiency, and performance.
• Identify opportunities to reduce variability, improve throughput, and lower costs.
• Provide technical support to manufacturing operations for reliable production.
• Lead new tooling/production equipment introduction and commissioning.
• Coordinate equipment startup activities, documentation, training, and readiness.
• Work with suppliers to address technical concerns and support equipment performance.
• Support project planning, change management, and validation activities.
