Job summary

Baxter International Inc. in Deerfield, IL, is seeking a Finance Director, UCAN to lead financial strategy for the combined U.S. and Canada Pharmaceuticals and Clinical Nutrition businesses, directing FP&A, pricing, contracting, and new product launch analytics.

This role partners with Marketing Analytics, Sales, Supply Chain, and Regulatory; travel up to 25%. The base salary ranges from $175,000 to $225,000 annually, with potential discretionary bonuses and long-term incentives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or related field; MBA/CPA preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive finance experience and leadership ability.
• Pharmaceuticals industry experience in a leadership role supporting commercial operations in a highly regulated environment.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and reporting of financial results and management reporting.
• Oversee operating forecasts and the annual operating plan (AOP).
• Lead a pipeline of new product launches and BD initiatives (2-3 years).
• Partner with Marketing Analytics to forecast price/volume profitability.
• Lead analytics and negotiation support for GPO, customer, tender, and vendor deals.
• Lead cross-functional team to improve Canadian profitability as part of a global initiative.
• Coordinate with Accounting CoE on new commercial models.
• Support Investor Relations and external messaging for the U.S. market.
• Represent Finance on cross-divisional task forces and working groups.
• Identify business risks and mitigation plans.
• Drive compliance with GAAP, SEC requirements and Baxter policies.
• Develop and lead a high-performing cross-region finance team.
