Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a licensed Electrician for a pharmaceutical client site in Durham, NC. You will inspect, repair, and maintain electrical and lighting systems, ensuring safe operation and reliability across critical equipment.

The role involves troubleshooting panels, transformers, motors, UPS, and building automation interfaces, plus reviewing maintenance records to plan preventive maintenance schedules. A Master Electrician license and 3–4 years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of relevant electrical experience; formal apprenticeship preferred.
• Master Electrician license required as dictated by local electrical codes.
• Valid Driver's license.
• Ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical and lighting systems' general operation, repair, and maintenance; perform new installations.
• Troubleshoot electrical distribution systems, panels, breakers, and transformers; motors, VFDs, and control circuits; lighting and emergency power systems.
• Support operation and maintenance of critical systems including UPS, backup generators, and BAS interfaces.
• Check, repair, and replace components like valves, motors, switches, gauges, wiring, fans, pumps, and compressors.
• Ensure safe operation and maintain documentation; review historical maintenance records to plan preventive schedules.
• Explain complex information clearly and lead by example within standardized procedures.
