Job summary

FITS is seeking an engineer for our Pharmaceutical service line in the Puerto Rico area. The candidate will address technical problems, support regulated environments, and collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Validation to optimize processes.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred) and at least 2 years in Medical Devices or Pharmaceuticals, with bilingual Spanish/English proficiency and a 1st shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred Mechanical or Electrical).
• Bilingual (Spanish & English).
• Shift: 1st Shift.
• Experience in equipment & system decommissioning in regulated environments.
• GDP, change control, and risk assessment knowledge.
• Cross-functional coordination with Engineering, Operations, Quality & Validation.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Under general supervision evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Function as a technical expert to process, equipment and/or systems during troubleshooting operations and multi-functional discussions.
• Frequently participate in daily operations to meet schedules or resolve complex problems.
• Routinely supervise manufacturing processes for performance indicators and operations; suggest resolutions and mentor others.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, process development, utilities, facilities, QA and/or validation departments on requirements or modifications.
• Support manufacturing/quality systems such as deviations, equipment qualification and/or process validation, procedures, training, and new product introductions.
• Apply engineering principles to design and implement system modifications, experiments and capital projects.
