Job summary

FITS, LLC is seeking an engineer to support pharmaceutical manufacturing in Puerto Rico. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) and has at least two years of experience in Medical Devices or Pharmaceuticals, with fluency in Spanish and English.

The role involves applying engineering principles, addressing deviations, and collaborating across manufacturing, QA, and maintenance. Flexible 5am–5pm or 5pm–5am shifts are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred Mechanical or Electrical) & two years of relevant experience within the Medical Devices or Pharmaceutical industry.
• Bilingual (Spanish & English).
• Shift: 5am to 5pm or 5pm to 5am shift; 2/3/2 days depending on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity.
• Under general supervision will evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques and procedures.
• Function as a technical expert to process, equipment and/or systems during troubleshooting operations.
• Frequently become actively involved in daily operations to meet schedules or resolve problems.
• Supervise manufacturing processes for performance indicators and provide mentoring.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, maintenance, process development, utilities, facilities, QA and validation teams.
• Support the execution of manufacturing/quality systems such as deviations, equipment qualification and process validation.
