Job summary

GSK’s Zebulon site in North Carolina seeks an experienced engineer to drive the site strategy, delivering capital projects with a focus on mechanical and automation systems. You will support day-to-day shop-floor production, troubleshoot equipment, and mentor staff while ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

You will collaborate with Production, Maintenance, Technical, Planning, Facilities, EHS, Automation and Quality to deliver projects on time and within budget, interfacing with

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, automation, chemical engineering or related discipline with 5+ years’ experience.
• Experience delivering mechanical/automation projects in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Experience troubleshooting production equipment, instrumentation and controls.
• Experience performing FAT, SAT, loop checks and software testing for qualification.

Responsibilities

• Maintain expert knowledge of current pharma platform technologies with emphasis on automation and control systems.
• Deliver continuous improvement projects meeting functionality, cost, quality and schedule goals.
• Collaborate with maintenance and production to troubleshoot production issues.
• Lead EHS assessments and ensure compliance with GSK policies and local codes.
• Interface with stakeholders to ensure projects deliver agreed benefits.
• Participate in management teams and multi-discipline project teams as needed.
