Job summary

QCS Staffing is seeking an HSE Environmental Contractor for a next-generation pharmaceutical project in Ohio. This role involves overseeing environmental compliance during commissioning and start-up activities, ensuring adherence to EPA regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field and extensive experience in environmental compliance within regulated environments. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a multi-billion-dollar investment in science and engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical discipline preferred.
• Extensive environmental compliance experience within pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical, or regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong understanding of EPA and state environmental regulations (IDEM highly preferred).
• Hands-on experience supporting hazardous waste, wastewater, stormwater, and air permitting programs.

Responsibilities

• Provide field-based environmental oversight during commissioning, qualification, and start-up activities.
• Support environmental compliance for EPA, IDEM, permit, and site-specific environmental programs.
• Perform environmental inspections and walkthroughs across GMP and non-GMP areas.
• Oversee hazardous waste, non-hazardous waste, wastewater, stormwater, drain protection, and air emissions compliance activities.

We’re supporting a major new-build facility in Ohio, a multi-billion-dollar investment designed to push the boundaries of science and engineering. We’re looking for a HSE Environmental Contractor to join the team and help deliver this world-class program.

What You’ll Do

• Provide field-based environmental oversight during commissioning, qualification, and start-up activities.
• Support environmental compliance for EPA, IDEM, permit, and site-specific environmental programs.
