Job summary

HazTek is seeking a Construction Safety Professional to support pharmaceutical construction projects in Rahway, NJ. The role provides daily safety oversight, conducts audits, reviews permits, and collaborates with project teams to maintain safe working conditions.

Responsibilities include safety audits, permit reviews, oversight of fall protection, scaffolding, hot work, LOTO, and participation in Job Hazard Analyses and toolbox talks with project leadership.

Qualifications

• Pharmaceutical facilities experience preferred
• OSHA 510 required
• OSHA 30 and First Aid certification required
• Experience conducting safety audits and reviewing work permits
• Knowledge of fall protection, scaffolding safety, hot work, and lockout/tagout
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
• HAZWOPER training preferred

Responsibilities

• Conduct site safety audits and inspections; identify hazards and follow up on corrective actions
• Review work permits and monitor compliance with site safety procedures
• Provide safety oversight for fall protection, scaffolding, hot work, and lockout/tagout activities
• Participate in Job Hazard Analyses or equivalent assessments
• Participate in weekly toolbox talks and communicate safety expectations to contractors and project leadership
