Job summary

HazTek Safety Management, Charlottesville, VA, seeks a Safety Manager to implement best practices, ensure safety compliance, and foster a culture of safety on pharmaceutical construction projects.

Responsibilities include overseeing the project safety, daily safety meetings, accident reporting/investigation, safety audits, supervising subcontractors, and preparing JHA/HASP documents to minimize risk.

Qualifications

• 7+ years direct construction safety experience.
• Working knowledge of pharmaceutical safety protocols.
• OSHA 510 certification required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to coach and mentor in construction safety processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the commercial construction project within the pharmaceutical facility ensuring OSHA compliance.
• Conduct daily safety meetings.
• Complete accident reports and conduct accident investigations.
• Daily safety audits and inspections.
• Oversee all subcontractors and contractors.
• Write job hazard analysis (JHA) and health & safety plans (HASP).
