QCS Staffing Ltd is seeking a QS Construction Lead for an Ohio-based, 12-month project in the pharmaceutical sector. The role focuses on cost control, commercial governance, and on-site quantity surveying to ensure value for money and GMP-aligned practices.

The candidate will collaborate with engineering and construction teams, review contractor applications for payment, monitor earned value, and prepare cost reports to support change management and project decisions.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8–10 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Commercial/Cost Lead on large-scale industrial, commercial, or pharmaceutical construction projects.
• Demonstrated experience in contract administration, progress measurement, payment certification, and change quantification.
• Strong working knowledge of construction contract forms (e.g., lump sum, unit rate, cost-reimbursable) and commercial administration practices.
• Experience validating contractor payment applications and maintaining earned value and cost reporting records.
• Familiarity with U.S. construction standards and pharmaceutical/GMP regulatory expectations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Measure and verify quantities of completed construction works on site.
• Review and validate contractor applications for payment, ensuring alignment with progress achieved and contractual terms.
• Maintain accurate records of installed quantities and earned value progress.
• Support evaluation and pricing of change orders, variations, and claims.
• Assist in preparation and maintenance of construction cost reports and commitment logs.
• Monitor subcontractor performance from a commercial and quantity perspective.
