Job summary

Vizient, a market-leading healthcare insights and solutions company, is seeking a Senior Pharmacy Contract Manager to oversee contracting strategies for its pharmacy services portfolio. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver cost reductions and optimize supplier relationships.

Office-based role with three days on site per week in Irving, TX or Chicago, IL; travel may be required. You will negotiate contracts, analyze financials, and drive best-in-class program implementations

Qualifications

Pharmacy or PharmD Degree required.
5 or more years of relevant experience required.
Contracting experience with direct negotiations preferred.
Superior communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
Strong presentation and customer service skills.
Cross-functional interaction skills with a proven track record of delivering results.
Experience in pharmacy, marketing, business and/or project management a plus.
Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

Align business strategies with corporate objectives for services and contracting.
Capture stakeholder needs from voice of customer engagements.
Identify opportunities to improve stakeholder satisfaction.
Review contracts' financials including budgets and forecasts.
Lead pharmaceutical negotiations from identification to implementation.
Build relationships with pharmaceutical suppliers as primary contact.
Explain contract terms with legal teams and draft terms.
Establish stakeholder relationships and guide access to offerings.
Monitor market changes and update projects and contracts.
Pursue new opportunities to grow pharmacy purchases and savings.
