Medix is seeking a Director of Business Development for Pharma Services in Chicago to lead new sponsor outreach, shape strategic partnerships, and drive revenue growth across clinical trial services, CDx development, and translational biomarker programs.

The role requires building relationships with decision-makers in Translational Medicine, Clinical Development, and Precision Medicine, coordinating cross-functional teams, and delivering sustained pipeline expansion.

Qualifications

Develop pharma/biotech BD pipeline across clinical trial services, CDx co-development, and translational biomarker programs.
Prospect and establish new client relationships with R&D, Translational Medicine, and Clinical Development executives at pharma/biopharma organizations.
Re-engage dormant sponsor accounts and pursue net-new strategic clients across emerging biotech and top-20 pharma.

Responsibilities

Develop pharma/biotech BD pipeline: identify, qualify, and close new sponsor accounts across clinical trial services, CDx co-development, and translational biomarker programs.
Prospect and establish new client relationships with R&D, Translational Medicine, and Clinical Development executives at pharmaceutical and biopharma organizations.
Re-engage dormant sponsor accounts and pursue net-new strategic clients across emerging biotech and top-20 pharma.
Cultivate and manage strategic alliances with CROs, preclinical partners, logistics providers, and platform vendors.
Coordinate proposal development, pricing strategy, and scope-of-work design with scientific, operations, and finance teams.
Present regularly to executive leadership on pipeline, closed deals, and strategic BD.
