Job summary

Galatek Life Sciences seeks a senior technical leader to own the full pharmaceutical automation and AI-for-Science program, spanning R&D to GMP production. You’ll define the solution, judge scientific and regulatory aspects, and convert engagements into platform-based products deployed at multiple sites.

The role is hands-on and domain-led; you will defend technical choices to customers, regulators and engineering teams, while growing a small, technically deep team and traveling up to 25% across

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific or engineering discipline.
• Advanced degree (MSc/PhD) in bioprocess engineering, chemical engineering, biotechnology or related field is an advantage.
• Demonstrated experience in laboratory or process automation, digitalisation or scientific software as builder/owner.

Responsibilities

• Map pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical workflows across discovery to GMP production.
• Identify high-value automation/AI opportunities and define solution scope and interfaces.
• Convert engagements into standardised, repeatable technical solutions deployed across sites.
• Own technical specifications, data requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Lead a small technically deep team and stay hands-on as scope grows.
