The position conducts interviews to obtain case-related information, explains disease transmission, treatment, prevention, and legal requirements, and analyzes epidemiologic details to determine priority for follow-up.This role provides education, consultation, and technical assistance to local health departments and private providers on interview methods, records, treatment procedures, and quality control. The employee performs phlebotomy on suspected cases and participates in efforts to control the spread of sexually transmitted infections and HIV.
