What You'll Do: Provide exceptional customer service by completing patient registration duties, collecting and validating insurance information, obtaining necessary authorizations, and entering data into the registration system. Inform patients of liabilities, collect payments, and refer patients to financial counseling when needed. Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and staff.


Responsibilities include:

  1. Collecting patient data and completing registration documents.
  2. Ensuring confidentiality and accurate patient identification.
  3. Obtaining authorizations, pre-certifications, and medical records as necessary.
  4. Communicating insurance benefits and liabilities.
  5. Collecting payments and advising on financial responsibilities.
  6. Providing excellent customer service and resolving complaints.
  7. Working independently and as part of a team.
  8. Accessing hospital systems and payer websites.
  9. Adhering to organizational policies and productivity standards.
  10. Communicating effectively with healthcare team members.
  11. Attending training and meetings.
  12. Performing additional tasks as assigned.

What You'll Need:

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Healthcare setting experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of insurance rules and reimbursement preferred.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) strongly preferred.
  • Computer skills including word processing.

Ideal candidates will also demonstrate:

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with web-based insurance eligibility and benefits review.
