Default Brand is hiring a Department Manager for the Pets department. This role oversees merchandising and sales, ensuring top customer service and reporting to the Store Manager. Must be able to work days, nights, and alternating weekends and bring extensive knowledge of pet products.

Hourly pay ranges from $21.00 to $23.00, depending on experience. The position emphasizes leadership, inventory control, and coordination with buyers to meet department needs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred.
• Customer Service training and/or experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate the merchandising of assigned products.
• Set priorities for distribution of new merchandise within the assigned department.
• Ensure adequate inventory in all areas of assigned department.
• Assist customers with purchases.
• Work closely with Retail Buyer(s) to ensure awareness of assigned department product needs and other product information.
• Assist with the training and direction provided to new department team members.
• Ensure that safety is practiced when handling merchandise by employees and customers.
