Job summary

Christensen Company in Portland, Oregon seeks a professional truck driver to transport petroleum products, verify loads, and maintain records in compliance with DOT rules. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and operate under safety policies in varying weather and traffic.

Requirements include a valid CDL-A with tanker and hazmat endorsements, at least two years of commercial driving, and the ability to handle long shifts.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Commercial Class A driver’s license with tanker, combination, and hazmat endorsements.
• Minimum of two years of commercial driving experience.
• Ability to read maps, road signs, and maintain records of duty status.
• Working knowledge of vehicle safety & control systems and DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Transport petroleum products to designated locations efficiently and safely.
• Verify loads against shipping papers and maintain accurate records.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report truck condition after each trip.
• Maneuver long-distance routes, handle loading/unloading activities, and ensure compliant paperwork.

Skills

CDL-A with tanker endorsement
