Job summary

New Mexico Department of Agriculture is seeking an Inspector Intermediate for the Petroleum Standards Bureau in Las Cruces. The role focuses on regulatory compliance and inspections of fuel quality, LPG meters, and related equipment from Dona Ana County and surrounding areas.

The position requires an Associate's or Bachelor's degree with relevant experience, and travel up to 50% across Southwest New Mexico.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree plus 4 years of relevant experience or Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of relevant experience.
• Equivalency: any equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience as approved by Human Resource Services.

Responsibilities

• Inspection activities of fuel quality sampling, small volume, large volume, and LPG meters.
• Work with petroleum industry to establish regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with other inspectors statewide to share procedures and best practices.
• Maintain inspection area, prepare reports, and address equipment needs to ensure safety.
