Job description

Responsible for petroleum supply analytics throughout the enterprise. Accountable for accurate reporting of petroleum contracts, contract bids, and other reports associated with petroleum supply. Identify and execute tactical purchases, including low rack purchases, day deals, and arbitrage opportunities. Provide leadership in identifying market trends affecting contract pricing. Communicate and report performance results to division and department procurement teams. This position is a remote opportunity; travel will be required for training, meetings, and industry functions. Responsibilities

1. Analyze supply bids during the Request for Proposal process; produce Excel spreadsheets comparing bid offers to existing contracts over a three-year period for specific terminal cities.
2. Monitor contracted volume requirements and obligations.
3. Identify, analyze, and communicate gaps between sales and contract volume requirements.
4. Document fuel supplier contract terms, addendums, and cancellations monthly.
5. Serve as the administrator of contract files, ensuring compliance (signed, filed, etc.).
6. Gather, prepare, and present fuel pricing data for contract negotiations.
7. Facilitate new store setups and contract assignments.
8. Support the forecasting process for the Petroleum Procurement team.
9. Analyze and execute cost-saving opportunities via day deals, arbitrage, and rack purchases.
10. Provide updates on fuel spot market prices and significant news items to the fuel team as needed.
11. Oversee internal audit and inventory control systems to ensure proper procedures are followed.
12. Maintain control of expenses, disbursements, and accurate information.
13. Develop retail division reports on pricing levels, monitor sales results, and compile market surveys.
14. Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

Minimum

1. At least 2 years of experience with data analytics and data integrity.
2. Strong written and oral communication skills.
3. Ability to prioritize work based on business priorities and strategies.
4. Results-oriented team player.
5. Ability to develop and implement business process changes.
6. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
7. Bachelor's Degree.
8. Previous experience with fuel suppliers, carriers, or fuel distribution.
9. Experience as an analyst.
10. Understanding of petroleum industry logistics.
11. Knowledge of formula-based pricing models, including Oil Price Information Service, Platts, and NYMEX.
